The 3 Things You Should Tell Them Daily:

Let's face it... just like fully sighted people get on our nerves, we get on theirs just as easily! Below are 3 things I want my family & friends who deal with me (and my RP) on a regular basis to know:
1) I forget that you can't read my mind/know what I can/can't see... and I'm sorry I take it out on you. I know it was never your intention to let me run into the lamp post, and my reaction (although it may have seemed like it) wasn't meant towards you. The pain/embarrassment I feel afterwards can take a few minutes to get over, but it's really not your fault. I promise.
2) Thank you for offering to help me continually, even if I don't take you up on it. It's not that I'm ungrateful, I just like to do things on my own sometimes, and without the help of another person. I will ALWAYS be grateful for your continued support.
3) Sometimes I need a swift kick in the ass, and I'm thankful when you give it to me! 😉 Having RP can be depressing at times, and I know I can be a "Debbie Downer," but you always seem to know how to pull me out of my pillow cave, and I don't say thank you enough for that.
